    RITZVILLE – Rural residents are encouraged to sign up and be counted in the 2022 Ag Census. Agriculture producers who did not receive the 2017 Census of Agriculture and do not receive other USDA surveys or censuses have until June 30 to sign up to receive the 2022 Census of Agriculture at nass.usda.gov/AgCensus. Code enforcement officer Henry Thoma told council members that the town had included letters on house numbers and unlicensed vehicles to residents through utility bills in previous months. Scouts and other volunteers will also be putting flags on the graves of area veterans in many communities.     Semi overturns near Lind LIND – A tractor-trailer overturned Friday, May 13, three miles south of the city, blocking U.S. Highway 395 for hours. The crash occured near Milepost 79 just after midnight, according to the Washington State Patrol. Department of Transportation workers set up a detour around the scene using state Highways 21 and 26, while crews worked to remove the overturned truck.     Annual burn ban looms for Adams County RITZVILLE — Adams County’s annual burn ban goes into effect June 1. The ban will remain in effect through Sept. 30 in unincorporated areas fo the county, Adams COunty Fire Marshal Andie Lorenz said.
