Eastern Adams County's Only Independent Voice Since 1887

About The Ritzville Adams County Journal

The Ritzville Adams County Journal was founded in 1887 and has served as Adams County’s primary source of news for more than 130 years. The newspaper continues to serve the residents within the communities of Lind, Benge, Washtucna and Ritzville, as well as other neighboring communities.

The Ritzville Adams County Journal remains as a weekly newspaper with a circulation of more than 1,600 that is delivered to subscribers and businesses every Wednesday. The Ritzville Journal was acquired by Free Press Publishing in 2014, and now joins a network of newspapers dedicated to accuracy, professionalism and excellence in publication of the news. Roger Harnack is the owner of Free Press Publishing and The Ritzville Adams County Journal

Our staff members are passionate about community journalism and continuing to be a voice in our rural communities. We have received multiple Washington Newspaper Publication Association awards for excellence in photography, design and news stories. In addition to the weekly newspaper, The Journal also offers design, editing and printing services.
