    Last week the EWU Eagle coaches came to Ritzville for golf and steak dinner hosted by the Ritzville Lions Club. This event has been going on for a long time and we only missed the June 2020 get together due to C-19. We all wanted to hold the event but higher powers said no way so it didn’t happen. Jason Perkins of Cheney drover the No. 145 Pour Decision boat to first place in the Modified class.     The next steps on whether Washington will remain income tax free will be in the courts, as the I-1929 ballot campaign to repeal the capital gains income tax has suspended its activities.     Patricia Phillips to pursue teaching job RITZVILLE – The clerk for the county commissioners is stepping down from her post. Clerk of Board Patricia Phillips submitted her resignation to commissioners during a June 14 meeting, to be effected July 29.     RITZVILLE - A local man is being held in the Adams County Jail on sex-related offenses after allegedly using his Facebook account to try to lure young girls to his East Weber Road home.     LIND – Code enforcement issues dominated discussion during the June 14 Town Council meeting. Code enforcement officer Henry Thoma told council members that the town had included letters on house numbers and unlicensed vehicles to residents through utility bills in previous months.
