Arbor Day celebration planned

RITZVILLE – Arbor Day will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. April 29, at City Hall.

Cub Scout Pack No. 73, led by Jeff Kissler, will open the ceremony with the presentation of the colors.

Mayor Linda Kadlec will make an Arbor Day proclamation and accept the Tree City USA plaque on behalf of the city.

Local students have participated in an essay contest. Contest winners will be announced, and winning essays will be read, at the Arbor Day event.
