The Saddle Warmers 4-H club met recently for a regular meeting. Discussing the new horse barn at the fairgrounds was the highlight of the meeting. Some suggestions for the upcoming barn include: sturdier, safer stall doors, improved lighting, strategically placed electrical outlets, increased arena size, and adding a changing room for competitors. The 4-H Saddle Warmers club met recently to look at projects to sign-up for this year. Besides showmanship, there is a new project to study called Ranch Horse. This is where we would work on things like breeds of cattle, roping, cattle’s flight zone, knots, ground tying, brand requirements and many more levels. New officers led their third meeting of the Ritzville 4-H Livestock club Aug. 13. Leading the Pledges were Easton Nelson and Trinity Wyma. The club is looking for used lariats as fair decoration to do the theme of “lasso some fun at the fair.” The members of the club decided on gifts to reward buyers who purchase this club’s market animals at the sale Saturday of fair. Reporter, Ritzville 4-H Livestock Club The Ritzville 4-H Livestock Club met July 26. Leading pledges were Caden Liberty and Brynne Nelson. The club is looking for used lariats as fair decoration to do the theme of “lasso up some fun.” Members are enthusiastic to figure out gifts to give to their buyers at the sale as their animals sell.
