4-H club discusses the horse barn

The Saddle Warmers 4-H club met recently for a regular meeting. Discussing the new horse barn at the fairgrounds was the highlight of the meeting.

Some suggestions for the upcoming barn include: sturdier, safer stall doors, improved lighting, strategically placed electrical outlets, increased arena size, and adding a changing room for competitors.

Advice from the fair veterinarian, Dr. Johnstone was considered.

The horse barn site should remain in the isolated and rocky site for the safety and health of equine.

Membership to the 4-H club is open to all youth, wishing to learn about horses. Members can range between the classes of kindergarten to seniors in high school.

For more information about the club, call leader Erika Hennings at 659-1033.
