    Members of the community are invited to attend celebrations in Washtucna and Ritzville this Fourth of July. Celebrations will begin in Washtucna this Friday at 6 a.m. with the Firemen’s Breakfast at Basset Park. At 9:30 a.m. the parade will begin lining up at the corner of Main and May Street.     The annual Ritzville Relay For Life is making its return to the track facility in Ritzville on Saturday, July 12. The event has undergone moderation this year, and spans from noon on Saturday until midnight, instead of being an overnight event.     The Washtucna Community Church members are hosting a potluck and concert on July 17. The performance will be by Hilary Watson and Kate Feldtkeller. The duo has toured throughout the U.S. and internationally they have performed in Italy, the UK, Hungary, Norway, the Netherlands and Germany.     Vacation Bible School starts at the Washtucna Community Church July 14. Classes will be offered to children ages three to sixth grade from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. until July 18.     Persons registered to vote in Washington have until July 7 to update their voter registration to Adams County. After July 7 voters will not be allowed to transfer or change their address until after the Aug. 5 primary election.     After committing $4.9 million for projects at East Adams Rural Hospital at the May board meeting, the Adams County Public Hospital District No. 2 Board of Commissioners unanimously approved placing a $6.4 million bond on the special election ballot in November. The initial $4.9 million committed by the board of commissioners allowed the contracting company Apollo to begin moving forward with construction to bring the hospital up to code with the Department of Health requirements.     Car enthusiasts and local community members strolled down Main Street in Washtucna last weekend, enjoying the diverse selection of vehicles entered into the ninth annual Washtucna Classic Auto Show. The new location was well received by attendees and participants, and there are hopes for the show to continue growing in the future.     The Saddle Warmers 4-H club met recently for a regular meeting. Discussing the new horse barn at the fairgrounds was the highlight of the meeting. Some suggestions for the upcoming barn include: sturdier, safer stall doors, improved lighting, strategically placed electrical outlets, increased arena size, and adding a changing room for competitors.
