The H.E. Gritman Senior Center is hosting the monthly pancake breakfast on Friday, March 14, from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Pancakes, a choice of ham or sausage, and juice or coffee, are on the breakfast menu this Friday with a suggested donation of $5 per person. The breakfast serves as a fundraiser for the senior center and is held the second Friday of every month, except during the summer. The H.E. At the request of the Washtucna School District staff and students, Governor Jay Inslee has agreed to travel to Palouse Falls on Tuesday, March 18, to sign House Bill 2119, which designates Palouse Falls as the official waterfall of Washington. The Washington State Patrol is reminding drivers that state law requires them to slow down, and move left if safe, when passing emergency vehicles stopped beside the roadway. With a little over two months before the 38th running of the Lilac Bloomsday Run, over 8,000 runners and walkers have registered, and a final tally of 50,000 is expected by race day. Registration for the 12-kilometer race is still open for the May 4 event.
