Dinner theatre begins March 14

The Ritzville Community Theatre (RCT) is presenting three productions of dinner theatre during the month of March. The group is performing “Checkmate” with one presentation at Trinity United Methodist Church on March 14 and two performances at Memories Diner on March 28 and March 29.

Checkmate is a comedy written by Miles Athey and Harry Schafer, and has been written specifically as a dinner theatre production. Cast members in the production include Schafer as director, Janelle Rieve, Lee Egnew, Bill Sager, Melanie Ziebell, Gail Harder, Kathy Schafer, Kymberlee Webb, Ruth Keely, Megan Buriak and Dede Brown.

Doors open for each of the three performances at 6 p.m. The dinner at TUMC begins at 6:30 p.m., while the meals will be served during intermission at Memories Diner. The dinner menu on March 14 includes Salisbury steak or tilapia. The performances on March 28-29, attendees can select from the main dish choices of pork chops or chicken.

Tickets for the performance at TUMC should be purchased by March 12 and by March 26 for the performances at Memories Diner in order to facilitate food-planning preparation.

Tickets are available for $22 and can be purchased at the Ritzville Area Chamber of Commerce office.
