Governor traveling to Palouse Falls to sign bill

At the request of the Washtucna School District staff and students, Governor Jay Inslee has agreed to travel to Palouse Falls on Tuesday, March 18, to sign House Bill 2119, which designates Palouse Falls as the official waterfall of Washington.

The signing ceremony begins at 1:30 p.m. at the state park and the Washtucna students who were involved with the drafting of the bill will be present to witness the bill being signed. The students began the project last fall as part of a civics project, and Representative Joe Schmick visited the school to assist with the drafting of the bill....
