Pastor Bill Cox, Foursquare Church|Updated Dec 23, 2020

The angel told the Shepherds in Luke 2: 14 “ Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” This year has been anything but peaceful for many of us. People have lost their jobs and are not able to make their payments on houses and cars which are often things that we feel we need to experience peace. I am not making light of jobs, houses, cars and other material things because they can bring real peace to our day. Just remember how you feel when you go...

  • "Experiencing God"

    Pastor Ryo Olson|Updated Dec 23, 2020

Have you experienced God? Have you ever had Him speak to you in a real and powerful way? God spoke to Mary through an angel. He spoke to Joseph in a dream. With the shepherds, He used a multitude of heavenly hosts; and with the wisemen, it was a bright and shining star. You see, God is not limited in the ways that He speaks to us. Instead, He uses all sorts of creative means to get our attention. He might reveal Himself though the Bible, prayer, your circumstances, or a person. The fact is, He can use any number of ways to...

Pastor Richard Lee, New Hope Center|Updated Dec 23, 2020

Is there still hope, peace, and joy in the middle of a global pandemic? So many have lost jobs, finances, and loved ones. Personal losses have mounted for so many, even in our neighborhoods. Political unrest, rebellion, pestilence, and poverty have gripped the entire world. Too many have grown despondent and have tragically taken their own lives. To so many of you who have been challenged in your health, have lost family members, employment, and even faced the closure of your church and faith communities, the answer is...

Pastor Kriss Bottino, Washtucna Community Church|Updated Dec 23, 2020

“Twas the Night Before Christmas” by Clement Clarke Moore romanticized Christmas in ways that have become iconic to our vision of Christmas, complete with visions of sugar plums that danced in the children’s dreams. It is a delightful poem many of us cherish. Yet, in the dark days of 2020, the fantasy of Moore’s vision fails to meet us in our deepest needs. How is your vision these days? 2020 has presented us with a great many challenge, for some of us more than others....

And while they were there, she gave birth to her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger; because there was no room f...

I’m sure that as you look at the title to this particular column, you are probably thinking I need to be slapped. Fair enough. I guess it would be in all of our best interests to just be depressed and give up. It will never get better. But we all have to be smarter and tougher than that. There are enough ‘woe is me’ people that don’t appreciate a thing that they have, and the more they get the worse off they are. My parents got married five years into this nation’s depressio...
