    Many of the local churches will be hosting special Christmas services on Christmas Eve. The Washtucna Community Church’s Christmas Eve service will be at 5 p.m. on the Dec. 24.   • Ritzville School District public forums scheduled

    The Ritzville School District will hold community forums in January to discuss the upcoming bond proposal. The Ritzville School Board unanimously approved to put a $12.8 million bond on the February ballot for improvements, upgrades and additions in the local district. The forums will be held Wednesday, Jan. 6, and Thursday, Jan. 14, at 7 p.m. Both meetings will be held in the Ritzville Grade School gym.   • Fraud investigation report shows $48,268 in misappropriation for the Town of Lind

    The Washington State Auditor’s Office released a Fraud Investigation Report for the Town of Lind on Dec. 21. The investigation period went from Jan. 1, 2010, through Feb. 28, 2014. The official report of misappropriation for the Town of Lind was released after a nearly two-year investigation by the State Auditor’s Office. Mayor Jamie Schmunk contacted the office on Feb. 24, 2014, regarding the potential loss of public funds.     Four Lind-Ritzville/Sprague Broncos hit the mat for their first League Match of the year on Wednesday, Dec. 16, in Colfax. This match was comprised of the same wrestlers the team will meet in the District Tournament at the end of the season.     The LaCrosse-Washtucna/Kahlotus Lady Tigercats recorded their first win of the season on Dec. 15 when they defeated Prescott. The Lady Tigercats earned the win with a final score of 46-35.     The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague Broncos continued their successful league season by defeating Tekoa-Rosalia in Gilson Gym on Dec. 19.
