In honor of all local veterans, the Lind-Ritzville High School Associated Student Body (ASB) will be hosting the annual Veterans Day assembly on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 1:30 p.m. in the Gilson Gym. The school would like to extend the invitation to all residents and veterans who wish to attend and support those who have served our country. The Ritzville Branch of American Association of University Women (AAUW) will host Chico’s fashions at a style show on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church social room. The Lind Community Church will be holding the annual Soup Supper along with Silent and Live Auctions on Tuesday, Nov. 8. The event will be held in the church fellowship hall. The Adams County Wheat Growers Association discussed expanding their market along with conversation about the Farm Bill to present to legislators at their meeting on Thursday, Oct. 27, at the Ritzville Club House. Washington Grain Commission Chairman Mike Miller informed the group the organization has stayed neutral on marketing for this year. The Ritzville Facilities Committee reconvened on Oct. 26 to discuss placing a revised school bond on the February ballot. During the past year, the Ritzville School Board ran a bond twice, with both measures being denied by voters. The initial bond included the complete renovation of Lind-Ritzville High School, multiple projects at Ritzville Grade School, miscellaneous items and the construction of an auxiliary gym. East Adams Rural Healthcare is expanding their services with the addition of an ultrasound machine to use within the local facility. The Hospital Board of Commissioners approved the $125,516 purchase during their regular monthly meeting on Oct. 27. The cost of the machine includes four years warranty of maintenance contracts, a probe cleaner and a four year warranty on the entire purchase. HAY BALE CONTEST. The Lind Area Chamber of Commerce held their annual hay bale decoration contest throughout the month of October. Last Friday night was the last scheduled home game and senior night for the LRS Broncos. It has been a difficult year of rebuilding and battling injuries for the Broncos. The Lady Broncos began their journey towards qualifying for the State tournament with a game at Liberty and two district tournament matches at Northwest Christian.
