    On Friday, Feb. 27, six Lind-Ritzville FFA members visited the Ronald McDonald House in Spokane. Julie Hartz prepared breakfast that the students served to all guests. After breakfast students spent the morning with children staying at the house. We tied fleece blankets, which were donated to the children.   • Lind-Ritzville FFA selling Little Caesar’s Pizza

    The Lind-Ritzville FFA members will be selling Little Caesar’s Pizza until Jan. 30. The profits from the sales will go toward sending members to the State FFA Convention in Pullman. The convention will be held May 14-16. The cost of each member to attend is approximately $250. The chapter only allows students who are competing to attend.     It has been a very busy fall for the Lind-Ritzville FFA. Fall fairs, and national competitions are in the books. Our chapter hosted a trap shoot in Lind on November 8, with 18 teams attending. The Chapter’s Soil Evaluation won the State competition earning the opportunity to compete at the National competition in May.     It is fair time, and the first day of school is just around the corner. FFA members will have 28 market hogs, eight market sheep, six market goats, 14 market beef and three prospect market beef that will go to the Adams County Fair. I am really proud of all of our members with projects, they have all worked hard to complete them. The excessive heat this summer has made animal care a little more challenging.     School may be out, but the Lind-Ritzville FFA chapter has plenty going on for the summer. Supervised Agricultural Experience projects for summer fairs, preparation for National Competitions, Livestock Judging Camp, and assembly of the greenhouse in Ritzville are all on the agenda. Several chapter members have livestock on feed for their Supervised Agricultural Experience projects.
