NOTICE ANNEXATION, COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AND ZONING

AMENDMENT PUBLIC HEARING

BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RITZVILLE

The City of Ritzville has published the following public hearing

notice to provide the opportunity for comment on the described

property. The file may be examined between the hours of 8:00am

and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday (except holidays) at Ritzville

City Hall, 216 E. Main, Ritzville, Washington.

Applicant: H & L Reimer L.L.C. and Shaub Properties

Project Description: Annexation of 2.143 acres to the City of Ritzville.

The property is proposed to be zoned Tourist Commercial

(C-3).

Petition Date: October 3, 2022

Legal Sufficiency Date: November 4, 2022

Project Location: Parcel No. 2935260140001, 1374 N HWY 261

Comprehensive Plan: Parties are requesting a comprehensive

plan land use map amendment for 1374 N HWY 261 as a

Tourist Commercial Zone (C-3), approximately 2.143 acres.

Review Authority: Pursuant to RCC 11.245.090, Type III, legislative

review shall require a review and recommendation from the

Planning Commission and a review including public hearing before

the City Council.

Decision Making Authority: Ritzville City Council.

Written Comments: Agencies, tribes, and the public are encouraged

to review and provide written comments on the proposal. During this

period written comments may be submitted to the Clerk-Treasurer

at [email protected] by 5pm on the 17th day of January

2023. The decision on the petition will be made within 120 days of

the date of petition.

Public Hearing: A hearing has been set before the City Council of

the City of Ritzville at the Ritzville City Hall, 216 E Main Avenue,

at their regular meeting which begins at 7:00pm on the 17th day of

January 2023. Anyone may appear at the meeting and make written

and/or oral comments or submit questions or suggestions to the

members of the City Council for or against any part of said annexation,

comprehensive plan, and zoning amendment. The City Council

is holding their meetings via conference call, online and in-person.
