FORD BURNS UP
While driving home last Thursday night after work at the Pastime Pool Hall, Henry Wellsandt lost the Ford car he was driving in, by fire.
In some manner, the fire started under the hood and when he stopped the car and raised the hood it was in flames. The gas line got afire and they were forced away from fighting it.
The car was badly damaged and as it was left on the road overnight travelers coming along stripped it of some of the parts. Will Werttemberger was with him.

Area Shriners delivered 1,200 bushels of wheat to Spokane Oct.19, a gift to benefit the Shriners Crippled Children's hospital there.
Chairman Al Kramer said the gifts of wheat came from Sage Shrine club members here in Lind, Odessa, Harrington, Sprague, Washtucna, and Benge. Members donated the trucks needed to haul the gift, and two trucks were donated by wheat growers not club members.
