Delays on I-90 westbound expected June 16

RITZVILLE — The Washington State Department of Transportation announced travelers should expect some delays on westbound Interstate 90 due to pavement repairs. Drivers will be detoured at the Tokio/Danekas Road interchange.

Crews will fully close westbound I-90 beginning at 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, for crews to perform pavement repairs. During the closure, drivers will be detoured around the closure via the on and off-ramps at the Tokio interchange.

At the same time, as drivers detour through the on and off-ramps at the interchange and enter back onto westbound I-90 via the on-ramp, drivers will immediately move into the left lane of westbound I-90. Crews will have the right lane closed for one mile west of the Tokio interchange to continue other repairs to the pavement.

Before heading out the door, travelers can find highway conditions on the WSDOT Travel Alerts page.
