Credit union opens lobbies to members

RITZVILLE – Members of a local credit union no longer need to make appointments to conduct banking business in several regional branches.

The Spokane Teachers Credit Union (STCU) has opened their lobbies in Ritzville, Othello, Medical Lake, and Coulee City.

"We acquired those branch locations in December 2020 from Umpqua Bank, which had started requiring appointments at the start of the pandemic," Dan Hansen, spokesperson for STCU, said. "Because staff and members are following social distance guidelines, appointments are no longer necessary."

The credit union continues to ask that masks be worn in all of its locations.

They also encourage members to continue using online banking and the STCU mobile app for most transactions.
