October 23

Malicious Mischief - 2200 block West Shelly Road Othello

Deputies observed a detached garage vandalized with gang related graffiti. Juvenile was arrested for Malicious Mischief and Trespass 2nd.

Domestic - 2200 block West Barbara Road Othello

Delia Alvarez-Malfabon, was arrested and later booked into jail for Assault 4th Degree DV of her daughter, and Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer.

Alarm - 100 block West South First Street Lind

Deputies responded to an alarm call at Lemco Drilling. The building was secure with no signs of forced entry.

Citizen Assist - 700 block South Anson Road Othello

The fire department arrived before deputy response and advised there was no need to respond.

Suspicious - South Thacker Road and West Rainier Road Othello

Deputies responded to a suspicious call at the location, and were not able to locate any vehicles matching the description.

October 24

Fire - 2100 block West May Street Othello

Deputies responded to the location alongside the fire department for a transformer sparking and causing a utility pole to catch fire. The fire department extinguished the fire and remained until the responsible arrived to repair the utility pole.

Citizen Assist - 700 block South Thacker Road Othello

Unknown subject in another country was threatening to post about the subject on social media. Subject was advised to block the unknown subject from all social media and not communicate moving forward.

Alarm - 600 block East Roloff Road Lind

Deputies responded to an alarm at the location and verified the residence was secured.

Agency Assist - East Ralston-Benge Road Benge

Deputies arrived on scene and assisted Fish & Wildlife until their help was no longer needed.

Citizen Assist - 800 block South Taylor Road Othello

Deputies contacted the complainant who advised he didn’t like living with his father. Deputies contacted the father who advised of seeking help in the next days.

Weapon Offense - South Hi-Lo Drive Othello

Possible weapons offense at the location. Deputies searched the area and were unable to locate the source of the shots.

Traffic Accident - North Fox Road and West Franz Road Lind

Deputies responded to a collision at the location and arrested Bruce Murdock for DUI.

Traffic Offense - 800 block South Highway 24 Othello

Luis Ramirez was observed operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Ramirez was advised a criminal traffic citation would be mailed to him.

October 25

Medical - 2200 block West Sielaff Road Othello

Deputies responded to a female having medical issues at the location. The patient was transported to Othello Community Hospital via ambulance.

Disorderly - West Bench Road and South Broadway Avenue Othello

A driver became disorderly during a traffic stop and was taken into custody. Earl Knigge was later released from the Othello substation. A report is being forwarded for potential charging determination.

Theft - 2200 block East Rehn Road Ritzville

Investigation is ongoing into a theft of fuel at the location.

Citizen Assist - 2000 block West Highway 26 Othello

Complainant requested contact at substation to report sensitive criminal incident. Deputies gathered written documents she presented. It was determined the complainant had a history of untreated mental illness and false reporting.

Citizen Assist - 2200 block West Highway 26 Othello

Deputies contacted complainant and determined she was distressed over her daughter moving out of state. The complainant suffers from known mental health issues.

Abandoned Vehicle - 800 block South Highway 24 Othello

Deputies observed a reported abandoned vehicle legally parked off the roadway on private property and made several attempts to contact the responsible party.

October 26

Citizen Assist - West I-90 near milepost 207 Ritzville

Deputies responded to a report of a possible domestic, with a female walking along the interstate and a male following her in a vehicle. No criminal activity had occurred, the subjects were attempting to locate a lost cell phone.

Agency Assist - 100 block East Birch Avenue Ritzville

Complainant stated a subject had kicked down her door and would not leave. Deputies arrived on scene and investigated until Ritzville Police arrived.

Suicide Attempt - 400 block West Main Street Lind

Complainant stated the subject had taken a large amount of medication. Deputies and WSP arrived on scene and determined no one attempted to harm themselves or was feeling suicidal.

October 27

Traffic Offense - 600 block South Taylor Road Othello

A driver was found to be operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license during a traffic stop. Daniel Espinoza was arrested, cited, and released at the scene for the driving violation.

Code Violation - 700 block West Griffith Road Ritzville

Public works advised a homeowner in the area was building their own speed bumps on the county road. Investigation is ongoing.

Fraud - 300 block South Main Street Washtucna

Investigation is ongoing into a possible financial exploitation of an elderly subject.

Vehicle Prowl - 600 block South Eagle Road Othello

Investigation is ongoing into several items being taken out of a vehicle at the location.

Citizen Dispute - 600 block West Clarence Street Lind

Deputies determined no criminal activity had occurred in a citizen dispute and transported one subject to Ritzville for the evening.

Agency Assist - West Bench Road and South Broadway Avenue Othello

Deputies stood by at a two-vehicle collision in the round-a-bout until WSP arrived.

Agency Assist - East I-90 near milepost 228 Ritzville

Deputies responded to an unknown injury traffic collision at the location and secured the scene until WSP could arrive to investigate.

October 28

Suspicious - 600 block South Wagon Road Othello

Investigation is ongoing into an unresponsive infant at the location. Complainant transported the infant to the hospital, then they were Life-Flighted to Sacred Heart in Spokane.

Abandoned Vehicle - 1700 block North Broadway Avenue Othello

An abandoned vehicle was blocking the entrance of the location. Deputies contacted the responsible who advised his vehicle broke down but was able to remove it.

Agency Assist - 2200 block West Barbara Road Othello

Agent from county building and planning department requested law enforcement present while making contact at the location. Deputies stood by while the agent conducted official business with the property owner and cleared when no longer required.

Animal Problem - 1700 block East Templin Road Rizville

Cow in the road.

Malicious Mischief - 600 block South Eagle Road Othello

Deputies determined a subject had allegedly punched holes into a wall located at the location after auguring with the complainant. The complainant was obviously impaired and the subject left the scene prior to law enforcement arrival. The matter will be referred to prosecutor for review.

Animal Problem - South Drury Lane Othello

Report of cattle at large at the location.

October 29

Citizen Assist - South St. Clair Avenue Lind

Report of a subject off her meds for five days and yelling about religion. Deputy contacted the subject and was advised Jesus was coming tonight. The subject agreed to stay somewhere warm.

Citizen Assist - 2200 block West Highway 26 Othello

Complainant contacted dispatch to report a listed vehicle as being stolen during a test ride. Deputies contacted the complainant and determined the vehicle had been parked at a location not briefed to the complainant.

Welfare Check - North 12th Avenue Othello

The subject was located in the city limits of Othello and found not to be in crisis. The family member was advised of law enforcement findings.

Juvenile Problem - 800 block South Taylor Road Othello

Report of juveniles in complainant’s parent’s residence without permission. The juveniles were detained and later transferred to their respective parents.

Traffic Hazard - South Andes Road Othello

Report of a motorcycle operating on the roadway without lights while carrying two occupants.
