Power outages affect Lind and Ritzville

LIND — Avista crews were still onsite in Lind as of 9:30 a.m. July 9, to restore a power outage that also affected Ritzville.

Avista representative Cami said the power outage in Lind was due to a bus lockout having to do with their substation and power lines; and Ritzville's power went out as a "child incident" of the Lind outage.

Ritzville's power outage occurred at 1:58 a.m., with an estimated resolution time of 5 a.m., and power restored at 3:40 a.m.

The Avista representative said 483 customers were without power. She said two two-man crews and two men from their meter shop were still working on restoring power in Lind.
