Kahotus woman injured in crash

Cause of crash was speed too fast for conditions

PASCO — A Kahlotus woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash in a construction zone along U.S. Highway 395 on Tuesday afternoon.

Molly A. Robitaille, 42, was transported to a Richland medical center for injuries she sustained in the crash, the Washington State Patrol reported.

The crash occurred about 4 miles north of Pasco, near the intersection of Crest Loch Road, the patrol reported.

Robitaille was southbound on the highway at about 1:52 p.m. when she rear-ended another vehicle that slowed down for the construction zone, the patrol reported. The second vehicle was driven by Gary A. Cripps, 72, of Milwaukee, Ore., who was transported to a Pasco-area hospital.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, the patrol reported. Neither alcohol nor drugs were factors.

Robitaille was cited for speed too fast for conditions, the patrol reported.
