Three COVID-19 cases confirmed in Adams County

RITZVILLE — The Adams County Health Department reported Friday that there are now three confirmed cases of coronavirus disease in Adams County.

Two cases were confirmed Friday by the state Department of Health.

The new cases are not linked to the March 21 case, health officials said.

All three infected residents are in self-isolation in their homes being monitored by the Adams County Health Department staff.

The names of the individuals and their hometowns are not being released publicly, but health officials are asking anyone who had been in close contact during the last two weeks quarantine themselves.

Health officials are asking anyone with suspected symptoms — coughing in addition to fever or shortness of breath — to call their doctor before going to an office or clinic.
