Annual Gumball Rally April 22

The 13th Annual Gumball Rally and Poker Run, sponsored by the Ritzville Classic Car Club, begins from Ritzville City Park on Sunday, April 22, at 9 a.m.

The group will gather on the Columbia Street side of the park in the picnic area before leaving on the tour.

The event is open to the public, and vehicles do not have to be considered a “classic car” in order to participate.

Registration begins at 8 a.m., and all participants can register for $10. For lunch to be included, there is an additional $13 charge.

All vehicles must be in safe operating condition and must be insured. The tour group leaves promptly at 9 a.m.

The Gumball Rally is a guided tour of antique and collector vehicles, across scenic byways through four eastern Washington counties.

The vehicles travel at moderate speeds and always on paved roadways.

Restrooms are available at each pit stop. This year, a catered spaghetti lunch is available for interested participants.

A car trailer is also available in case of breakdown emergencies or for technical assistance.

The poker drawings will occur at departure, pit stops, lunch break and end of tour winnings with raffle prizes. There is also a quiz contest from strategic clues along the tour.

The Gumball Rally is open to all vehicles regardless of year and make, and the event is fun for the whole family.

Awards and prizes are presented at the conclusion of the tour.
