Sara Aldrich presents research at undergrad conference

Sara J. Aldrich, daughter of Jason and Jennifer Aldrich of Ritzville, was one of 23 Hamilton College students who presented their research on Sept. 23 at the New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium Upstate New York Undergraduate Research Conference at Skidmore College.

Aldrich, a junior majoring in neuroscience, presented “Characterization of a Putative Rat Model for Autism Spectrum Disorder.”

The New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium is a cooperative venture of six Upstate New York liberal arts institutions: Colgate University, Hamilton College, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, St. Lawrence University, Skidmore College and Union College.

The Consortium facilitates collaboration among its member institutions in fulfilling their educational missions and serving the public good.

Originally founded in 1793 as the Hamilton-Oneida Academy, Hamilton College occupies a 1,350-acre hilltop campus overlooking the New England-style Village of Clinton, New York, and in close proximity to the Adirondack Park.

The College’s open curriculum gives students the freedom to shape their own liberal arts education within a research- and writing-intensive framework.

Hamilton enrolls 1,850 students from 49 states and 49 countries. Additional information about the college can be found at http://www.hamilton.edu.
