Robert Schaefer

Robert Schaefer was born on a farm in Washtucna on July 26, 1932. He died in Spokane on Sept. 24.

He graduated from Washtucna High School before he served in the Army for two years.

Robert lived near Ritzville. It was five miles towards Washtucna and he worked on the farm, but he didn’t like it.

He met Jeanette at O.B.’s Café where she was a waitress. The two were married in 1963.

Jeanette starting working at Jake’s, and Bob enjoyed washing dishes and visiting with the customers.

After they opened the Video Store, he went for coffee at Memories Diner and soup at Whiskey Gap.

Services are scheduled for Oct. 6 at 2 p.m. at the New Hope Center in Ritzville.
