Historical Society dinner on Sept. 24

The Adams County Historical Society will hold their annual dinner and program on Sunday, Sept. 24 at 1 p.m. at the Lind Community Church Fellowship Hall.

The cost of the event is $25 and the dinner will be catered by the Lind-Ritzville Middle School students, who are raising money for their Florida trip.

This year’s program will be presented by Alex McGregor, who will present his topic “An Unquenchable Optimism and a Tenacity that Verges on Stubbornness: ‘Pioneer Values, Local Heritage and the Road Ahead.’”

The museum will be open after the program. Guests can view displays in the Community Room and see the changes being made on the Lind building.

Tickets for the dinner can be purchased from any Adams County Historical Society board member. Board members are Rudy Plager, Janet Camp, Carol Becker, Sue Sackmann, Barbara Jolly, Stevie Coon, Karin Clinesmith and Roger Smart.

There are three vacant board member positions. Anyone with an interest in the history of Adams County can serve on the board.
