ACSO, WSP respond to death near I-90

Law enforcement officers from the Washington State Patrol and Adams County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call regarding a deceased male subject near eastbound Interstate I-90 on July 4.

The body was discovered near the Schrag Rest Area at the bottom of an embankment around noon on the Fourth of July holiday.

The male subject was confirmed deceased when law enforcement arrived on the scene.

After notifying the family, Adams County Sheriff Dale Wagner said the deceased subject had been identified as 53-year-old Michael Marker of Kellogg, Idaho.

The death remains under investigation by the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
