Washtucna Fourth of July activities

Community members are invited to celebrate Independence Day the “old-fashioned” way at Bassett Park in Washtucna.

The day begins with the Firemen’s breakfast at 6:30 a.m. and will be serving until 9 a.m. The parades will begin at 10:30 a.m. starting with the kiddie parade, followed by main parade.

The ceremonial flag raising will begin the lunchtime feast at 12 p.m. in the park.

Following the ceremony, there will be a potluck lunch in the park with the Washtucna Lions Club providing hamburgers and hot dogs.

Drinks consist of ice tea and lemonade and pop will be available for the cost of $1.
