Drill Team hosting fundraising activity

The Ritzville Rodeo Association Youth Drill Team is in the process of conducting a unique and interactive fundraiser throughout the community.

The team has created a mascot of “Sparkle the Wonder Horse”, who will be taking up residence in yards throughout the city.

The horse cannot be placed at apartment complexes or on public property.

The team explained Sparkle arriving in a yard is done in good spirits, as a friend has paid to have Sparkle placed there. The horse will be in the lawn before mysteriously galloping off to the next after a designated amount of time.

For those who would like to choose the next lawn, the team asks for a small donation. The removal will be done at no charge.

The prices to place Sparkle at a house is based on a one-to-three day rate.

The minimum donation is $10 and maximum requested is $20.

Those individuals who do not wish to have Sparkle on the lawn, can purchase Anti-Sparkle Insurance for $10.

The fundraiser’s intent is to be fun and good-natured, while simultaneously raising money for the youth drill team.
