LWK Tigercats team shines at Undeberg Invite in Ritzville

The LaCrosse-Washtucna/Kahlotus track and field team remained focused on success during the NE 1B/2B League Meet at Mead High School on April 27.

The team was led in scoring by Alynn Harder, who secured a second place finish in the javelin, along with fifth place in the long jump.

The Undeberg Invite on April 29 in Ritzville proved to be a day of opportunity for the Tigercats, with almost every athlete setting a personal record in at least one event. The women’s team placed 15th at the meet, racking up 19 points during the day.

Harder continued to excel, pushing past her previous records and throwing 109-08” in the javelin.

Meyers also found her strength during the javelin contest, and earned a chance to compete in the finals after throwing 92-00”.

Throwing events continued to be successful when Gordon hit a personal record of 99-06” in the discus, being just inches away from her season goal to break 100-feet in the event.
