Broncos golf hosts final home match

The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague Broncos golf team participated in four matches within the last three weeks.

The first took place at the Ritzville Municipal Golf Course on March 29 at 2 p.m. Results from this match are currently unavailable.

The golfers then had a week with no matches due to Spring Break.

On April 12 they traveled to Fairways Golf Course for a match hosted by Northwest Christian.

For some of the Broncos it was their first 18-hole match, which Head Coach Nick Weishaar said proved to be a test but overall they performed well.

Tessa Jantz received fourth place in the girls’ division with a score of 94. Mickayla Hall had a score of 123 and Kierstin Witt received a score of 157.

The boys were able to receive a score of 502, which earned them the third place spot for the overall boys team division with Colfax High School placing number one.

Michael Shields and Ryan Frederick each had 92 strokes with Morgan Brausen following close behind with a 93. Pake Taylor earned a 118 and Patrick Bartz received a 107.

The team also traveled to Colville to a match hosted by Kettle Falls and Inchelium on Tuesday, April 19.
