Leslie Loren Franke

Leslie Loren Franke, 64, died Feb. 25 with family by his side. He was born and raised in Spokane, where he had many fond memories of family, friends and Priest Lake outings from his younger years.

Les started the work force at a dairy, then on to tow truck driver before landing a job with Winnebago, manufacturing campers and trailers. Then opening his own neighborhood body shop in Spokane.

In 1985 Les moved to Ritzville to work as an auto body man, electrician, etc. with Landcraft Repair, staying mostly there until he retired.

Les enjoyed friends (the many), fishing, boating, camping, cars and drag racing among other things.

Les was preceded in death by his mother; Joy Severt, father; Loren Franke and brother; Doug Paulson. He is survived by his sister; Gail M. Clevenger, step mother; Kathy Franke, Aunt; Marie Alice and three nieces, two nephews and many cousins.

Les was very talented, caring and gentle and will be missed, as well as remembered.

Family and friends will gather at a later date to carryout Les’s final wishes.

Danekas Funeral Home and Crematorium have been entrusted with his final preparations.
