Lind-Ritzville FFA hosting supply drive for Ronald McDonald House

In coordination with National FFA Week, the Lind-Ritzville FFA is completing their annual Ronald McDonald House drive from Feb. 19 through Feb. 26.

There will be boxes at multiple local businesses during this week for item collection.

The Lind-Ritzville High School will also have a competition to see who can collect the most items for the week of Feb. 19 through Feb. 25.

The Ronald McDonald House provides stability for families who have a child fighting an illness. They strive to prevent a financial burden for the family when they are already dealing with so much.

They can always use household items such as four-gallon garbage bags and magic erasers.

Additionally Kleenex, hand sanitizer, fabric softener and gallon Ziploc bags are on their list.

They also request office supplies such as Post-It notes and legal pads.

Gift certificates for gas or groceries are always welcome as well.

Sheets, hand towels, laundry baskets and flashlights are also needed items.

Food items are also accepted such as no butter microwave popcorn, breakfast bars, flour and sugar, tea, and cooking oil.

Kitchen items are also needed donation items. They have large drinking glasses, oven liners, cookie sheets, dishtowels, potholders and dish soap on their wish list.

Full lists of items they are looking for can be found on their website http://www.rmhc.org.

The FFA officers will go to the Ronald McDonald House on Feb. 29 to serve breakfast, give the donations and to play with the children.
