August 31, 8:51a.m.—A Ritzville complainant on North Adams Street requested assistance with a report of a domestic violence. Deputy Jeff Lane responded.

August 31, 11:47 a.m.—A Ritzville complainant on North Adams Street requested assistance with a report of a domestic violence. Deputy Lane responded.

August 31, 2:48 p.m.—A Benge complainant advised of a door on the upper warehouse on West First Avenue in Ritzville that is being repaired. The complainant advised it will be unsecured but cover by a panel. Complainant requests extra patrols in the area.

August 31, 5:36 p.m.—A Lind complainant on West Vulcan Street advised a subject was banging on their door. The complainant would like the subject contacted and advised subject is not allowed back on complainant’s property. Deputy Ned Bernath and Sergeant Adolfo Coronado located listed subject at the tavern in Lind and advised subject not to return to complainant’s residence again or they would be subject to arrest. Subject was defiant, but subject advised they understood what would happen if they returned.

August 31, 5:38 p.m.—An Odessa complainant advised of two suspicious vehicles at one mile South of Tokio on Deal in Ritzville. Deputy Bernath arrived on scene and recovered two stolen vehicles and a set of suspected stolen plates. The vehicles were removed by B&B Towing.

August 31, 7:38 p.m.—A Lind complainant advised of several head of cattle out at West Lind-Warren Road. Deputy Bernath contacted owner and advised to take care of the problem.

September 1, 4:16 a.m.—An Odessa complainant on East Rosenoff Road and North Schoonover Road in Ritzville advised of a suspicious vehicle. Deputy Bernath responded and advised vehicle was full of luggage and a bicycle. Deputy Bernath advised subject was sleeping in a sleeping bag in the front seat. Subject advised they were fine and heading to the coast after they got up. Deputy Bernath advised the vehicle was parked legally, well off the roadway. Subject was kicked out of parents home in Ritzville after earlier verbal domestic violence the city responded to.

September 1, 2:23 p.m.—A Ritzville complainant on East Gun Club Road advised of yard debris being dumped. Deputy Lane responded.

September 1, 7:20 p.m.—A Lind complainant on East Fifth Street advised of a civil matter involving a former employer. Deputy Lane responded.

September 2, 9:54 a.m.—A Washtucna complainant on West May Avenue requested assistance with a subject who would not take their insulin. Deputy Lane advised the complainant to contact adult protective services and subject’s doctors.

September 2, 12:36 p.m.—A Lind complainant on South Thiel Street in Washtucna advised of a vehicle reported stolen after being found in Tri-Cities area. Deputy Lane contact the complainant at Othello Community Hospital, the complainant advised child’s vehicle was stolen sometime overnight. The registered owner signed the vehicle as stolen.

September 2, 6:48 p.m.—A Lind complainant on East 3rd Street contacted dispatch to report a subject walking through a nearby alley. The complainant’s dogs alerted to the subject’s presence began barking. The complainant attempted to contact the unknown subject and the subject fled northbound towards a set of homes. Deputy Darryl Barnes responded and did not locate any suspicious subjects.

September 2, 8:39 p.m.—Ritzville Police Department requested agency assistance on South Bauman Street where they conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation. Deputy Barnes stood by. Both vehicle passengers had mutual DV protection orders. Subjects were taken into custody and booked into jail without incident.

September 3, 6:33 p.m.—A Lind complainant at West 3rd Street advised there are four-five subjects arguing in front of their residence. The complainant also stated a subject jumped into the backyard of their residence. Sergeant Ben Buriak contacted the complainant and determined there was a verbal dispute between the property owner and a subject. The subject had left prior to Sergeant Buriak’s arrival. The issue was over property and no assault took place. The complainant was advised to call back if there were more problems.

September 3, 7:36 p.m.—A Moses Lake complainant at South Damon Road and West Lee Road in Lind contacted dispatch to report a non-injury collision involving a passenger truck and wheeled farm equipment. Deputy Barnes responded to the scene and found the involved vehicles had been cleared from the roadway. The passenger truck’s driver declined any medical attention and arranged for the vehicle to be removed at a later time. It was determined the passenger truck’s driver failed to slow when approaching slow moving farm equipment and rear-ended an attached dry spreader. The truck appeared to be a total loss with only minor damage to the farm equipment.
