Washtucna High School seniors travel to Oregon

On April 3-5 the Washtucna Seniors traveled to Portland, Oregon for their senior trip.

The seniors have participated in multiple fundraisers throughout the year in preparation for this trip. You could see them at every home game hosted by Washtucna conducting feeds, or working at ‘the shack.’

They also had various other fundraisers including a Little Caesar’s Pizza sale and school hat days on Fridays. In all, seniors have raised over $3,500 towards the cost of the senior trip.

The agenda this year is as follows: on April 3 the seniors left Washtucna around lunchtime.

The trip took them to Tigard, Oregon. There they checked into the hotel and spend the night.

Saturday morning they visited the Rice NW Museum of Rocks and Minerals. Next they went to the Portland Zoo. Saturday concluded with a trip to the Portland Trail Blazer’s game.

On Sunday they enjoyed a continental breakfast and departed their hotel by 11 a.m. Michael Dorman and Pam Kraft, the senior advisor, chaperoned the trip.

Kraft has helped the seniors to plan this year’s trip.
