COLLISION ON COLUMBIA

COLLISION ON COLUMBIA. A collision at the intersection of Columbia Street and Fourth Avenue on the afternoon of Feb. 4 closed the intersection for nearly an hour. The driver of the blue minivan failed to yield, striking the side of a pickup driven by Zach Maier. Ritzville Police Officer Matthew Carlson responded, calling in fire crews to clean an antifreeze spill in the street. The driver of the minivan was taken to East Adams Rural Hospital with a head injury. -Journal photo by Katelin Davidson
