Oktoberfest at Good Hope Lutheran Oct. 26

Good Hope Lutheran Church in Lind will host its annual Oktoberfest celebration on Sunday, Oct. 26, at the Lind Senior Center, located at 117 North I Street.

The event is open to the public and all are welcome to attend.

Sunday morning worship begins at 9 a.m. at the center under the leadership of Pastor Mary Daniels.

The bake sale opens at 11 a.m., followed by dinner, which is served until 2 p.m. Take-outs are available for those unable to stay.

Featured is the everpopular German smoked sausage, paired with mashed potatoes and butter, sauerkraut, green beans, applesauce, bread and complemented with a dessert.

Prices are as follows: adults $9, children 12 and under are $5, family of 2 adults and 2 children, $25.

A drawing will be held at the event.

Tickets are available from any member of the congregation or at the door that day.

Matching funds will be applied for from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, the church’s fraternal organization.
