Bulldog News: May is busy at LRMS

May is a busy month at the LRMS. The sixth period FACSE class is doing a play, the Honor Society is doing a car wash, the ASB elected new officers, and the band is transitioning from marching the Armed Forces Torchlight Parade to the Spring Concert.

The sixth period FACSE class is performing a play called “Bullies Anonymous.”

Once one person stands up and steps in behind a bullying victim, many more will join in and the bully will stop. The third graders viewed the play on Friday. They learned a lot and enjoyed the play, while learning some important life lessons. The FACSE class will also be performing “Bullies Anonymous” for the fourth and fifth graders on the Middle School stage soon.

The National Junior Honor Society is doing a donation car wash in Ritzville on Saturday, May 24, to benefit the Ritzville Theater. Please support the theater. Get your car washed and donate!

The ASB elections were held on Monday. There were about 21 candidates for President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Activities Coordinator, and Reporter.

The 2014-2015 school year officers are Sharon Anderson as President; Lacey Miller as Vice President; Aaliyah Yeager and Ellie Gering for Secretary; Devin Schafer as Treasurer; Katheran Gingrich for Activities Coordinator; and Eliza Galbreath as Reporter.

All of the candidates did a wonderful job on their speeches and posters!

Saturday, May 17, middle school band and the high school band joined to participate in the Spokane Armed Forces Torchlight Parade.

They sounded awesome, and the crowds loved their music!

Now, the middle school band is preparing for the upcoming Spring Concert, on May 29.

Remember to support the Bulldogs at their events and sports games!

There are still baseball and softball games to be played.
