Middle school students tackling numerous special projects

The students in the Lind-Ritzville Middle School elective classes and extra programs are continuing to thrive through the first few weeks of the second semester. Honor Society, Pep-Band, FACS, and ASB are just some of the magnificent groups that we have.

Honor Society members are continuing to work on their service projects for the third quarter. Emily Rosen is doing a book drive, and Megan Buriak and Shontz Yaeger are selling cookies at the middle school. Sharon Anderson is collecting aluminum cans to donate money to the Shriners. The Honor Society is also doing a door-decorating contest for all second period teacher’s doors. The theme is Bulldog Spirit.

The pep-band has completed the regular basketball season for the Lind-Ritzville/Sprague Broncos and now are planning to attend the annual playoff games. They have been sounding great and are learning many new songs for this season.

The students in sixth period FACS are working on a quilting project to kick off the new semester. The class’ main objective is to complete the Middle School game room.

The ASB recently conducted a pep-rally at the Middle School for the Bulldogs. The students enjoyed it very much. They played The Human Knot, Four-Corners, and performed several different cheers. And, to top it all off, they danced to the Cupid Shuffle.

The students are receiving their report cards and are enjoying their third quarter so far. The teachers are doing a good job too.

Nice work Bulldogs!
