Community Women’s Bible Study course available Feb. 3

A nondenominational, community Women’s Bible Study course is available beginning on Feb. 3 at the Ritzville Nazarene Church. The 12-session course consists of Monday night meetings from 6:30 to 8 p.m., and Tuesday afternoons from 1 to 3 p.m. Babysitting is available on Tuesdays, and the cost of the class is $9 for the study book.

In this 12-session DVD Bible study titled “Twelve Women of the Bible,” a group of leaders will look at the spiritual lessons learned from 12 biblical women and how the lessons apply to today’s lifestyle.

Participants will learn about the triumphs and failures of Mary Magdalene, Rebekah, Hannah, and nine other women, and study their lives. Each of the 12 sessions focuses on one biblical character.

Participants will discover lessons from each of these women that will help them persevere through the circumstances they are facing today. The Participant Guide features discussion questions, background information on each character and space to write down thoughts.

Sessions include: “Finding Lasting Contentment in the Truth” by Lysa TerKeurst; “Breaking Free of Feminine Stereotypes” by Jonalyn Fincher; “Overcoming Rejection and Insecurity” by Naomi Zacharias; “Surrendering in Waiting” by Amena Brown; Dealing with Confrontation in Relationships; “Learning to Accept Unconditional Love” by Jeanne Stevens; “Moving from Comfort to Courage” by Jeanne Stevens; “Transforming from Outcast to Follower” by Jonalyn Fincher; “Putting Our Faith into Action” by Elisa Morgan; “Finding Our Identity in Jesus” by Amena Brown; “Turning Our Messes into Messages” by Lysa TerKuerst; and “Approaching God with Persistency and Boldness” by Naomi Zacharias.
