Local churches slate special services

With the Christmas holiday just around the corner, many of the local churches are preparing special worship services to celebrate the holiday.

Emanuel Lutheran Church is hosting a candlelight communion service on Dec. 24 at 7 p.m.

New Hope Center is having a special Christmas concert with musician and singer Valerie Hicks on Dec. 22 at 1 p.m.

Trinity United Methodist Church has its annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Service on Tuesday, Dec. 24, at 7 p.m.

Ritzville Nazarene Church is having Sunday School at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Morning Worship and Children’s Church on Sunday, Dec. 22. The Nazarene Church is also hosting a Candlelight Christmas Eve Service with Communion on Tuesday, Dec. 24, at 7 p.m.

The Good Hope Lutheran Church in Lind and the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sprague are caroling at Cheney Care Center on Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. The Good Hope Lutheran Church is hosting a Candlelight Worship service on Dec. 24 at 6 p.m. St. John’s Lutheran has a Candlelight Worship service the same day at 8 p.m.

Menno Mennonite Church is having a Christmas Eve service on Tuesday, Dec. 24, at 6:30 p.m.

St. Agnes Catholic Church is having Christmas Mass at 10 a.m. on Christmas, Dec. 25. St. Agnes is also having a special mass on Jan. 1, 2014, at 10 a.m.

Lind Calvary Assembly of God Church is hosting a Christmas service on Sunday, Dec. 22, at 6:30 p.m.
