Sponsor a seat in support of Ritz Theatre

Those individuals who are interested in having their name recorded at the historic entertainment venue in Ritzville now have an opportunity to sponsor a seat at the Ritz Theatre. The Ritzville Downtown Development Association is asking individuals to make a minimum of a $100 donation to have their name, or the name of a loved one, recorded as a seat sponsor on a movie display poster at the theatre.

With the updates currently ongoing on the historic theatre, the RDDA is hoping the seat sponsorship donations will provide the necessary funds in order to purchase digital equipment and a sound system so the doors can reopen to the public soon.

Any individual interested in sponsoring a seat can do so by contacting an RDDA member. Donors can decide to list their name, or dedicate the sponsorship in memory or in honor of someone.

Currently, all of the seats are being cleaned, reupholstered and organized by volunteers in the building across the street from the theatre while a stage is being installed. While the installation of a stage reduces the overall amount of seats in the theatre, the RDDA is not limiting the amount of sponsorships allowed at the theatre. The movie display poster listing the sponsors will be displayed prominently at the entrance of the building.

Individuals interested in becoming a seat sponsor are asked to contact John Rankin, Harry Schafer or Bruce Benzel. Questions can be directed to Benzel at 659-1350 or 660-0935. Donations can also be mailed to 107 East Main Avenue in Ritzville.
