LRMS has a wide variety of clubs and groups to take part in this year. There’s FFA, Band, Honor Society, ASB, FCCLA and sports.

FFA has just finished up their Pie Sale fundraiser. They were selling Cyrus O’Leary fruit pies, cheesecakes, cornbread, and pumpkin muffins for $10 each. It was a great sale year, as the 7th graders alone sold over 100 pies!

Pep Band members recently went to the Tacoma Dome to cheer on the mighty Broncos at the State Championship game. They rocked “The Dome” with their music, and helped the crowd cheer as the Broncos won the State Championship!

National Junior Honor Society members are working on service projects. Service projects benefit the community, school or an organization. For example, Jack Anderson is selling eggs to raise money for students in Haiti. Each member must do one every school quarter.

Six officers lead the Lind-Ritzville Middle School ASB. Tessa O’Brien is the ASB President, Shontz Yeager is the Vice President, Sierra Kiel is the Treasurer, Lakai Panter is the Secretary, Megan Buriak is the Activities Coordinator and Sharon Anderson is the Reporter. The ASB is in the middle of a Wreath Sale fundraiser. It was a great money maker for the end of the year trip for the Middle School students and other projects that come up like buying new chairs for the sports teams to sit on in our gym. The chairs say LRMS Bulldogs and will help our gym look even better.

The FCCLA is part of the Family and Consumer Science Program. It stands for Family Career and Community Leaders of America. The 7th grade FCCLA is doing a project on careers, making posters to increase awareness of the importance of starting to plan ahead. They will also be doing community projects during the holiday season-making cookies for the senior centers and LRMS staff is an example of one of their projects.

In girls’ basketball, the girls played a great game against Wilbur-Creston. The A-team won 24-4 and the B-team won 20-16.

Good job Bulldogs!
