Board to meet tonight, to hear plan for hospital upgrades

The regular meeting of Adams County Public Hospital District No. 2 Commissioners will be held at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 21, at the Washington Association of Wheat Growers building.

The highlight of the meeting is a planned presentation from Apollo Systems, Inc., about the estimated costs of updating the existing hospital in order to comply with state and federal mandates that have been issued as a result of the facility not meeting a variety of code issues that deal primarily with the electrical system and the lack of a fire suppression sprinkler system.

Apollo Systems, Inc., presented the district’s building committee with three options during its meeting on Monday, Nov. 18. Three options were presented at that time. The estimated cost of Option A is $6,268,926; Option B is $8,570,686 and Option C is $12,651,585. The elements of these options will be discussed during Thursday’s public meeting.
