Herb Benzel

Herb Benzel died at the age of 84 on Nov. 2 at his home in Ritzville, after a battle with pancreatic cancer, surrounded by his family.

He was born on Dec. 18, 1928, to Fred and Lydia Benzel, and farmed his entire life in Ritzville.

He loved bowling and bowled until the age of 84.

He bowled a 300 at the age of 70 and thought all of his family members should bowl.

He had such a passion for bowling, he went to great lengths to make sure the bowling alley was a part of the community that all could enjoy.
