Beginning computer classes offered at library

The Ritzville Public Library is beginning computer classes for local residents starting on Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. The classes are being taught on a monthly basis, with the future class dates to be determined at a later date.

The computer classes cover a basic introduction course on using computers, email and Internet. All of the courses are taught by instructors from Big Bend Community College, using the eight computers donated by the college.

The classes are free, but due to the limited number of computers, participants are asked to pre-register at the library.

Beginning in November, library staff members are teaching classes on Microsoft Office software, such as Word and Excel.

Individuals who are unable to attend either class are reminded any technological questions can be answered on Tuesdays from 4-6 p.m. at the library as part of the Tech Tuesdays program. Residents can also schedule an appointment for a one-on-one session if needed.

Appointments can be made in person by visiting the library at 302 West Main Avenue or by phone at 659-1222.
