Stamper earns state title in high jump for SJELW

SJELW athlete Darcy Stamper earned the state title in the 2B state high jump competition at the State Championship track meet last weekend.

Stamper has competed in the high jump contest at the state level for three consecutive years and earned the state title with a height of 6-foot-6.

The jump tied Stamper’s personal record he set in Lapwai earlier this year, a feat that set a new record at LaCrosse High School.

Stamper also earned a place on the podium in the long jump with an eighth place finish.
