I’m sure that by now you have heard about the We Lind-Ritzville Club in the Ritzville Journal. This community service oriented group is composed of local high school students who help locally, and internationally.

Locally, the students have invested in helping local foster kids get used to their new surroundings. They have put together care packages to give to the kids when they are first placed in foster care.

Internationally, the students decided to provide school supplies to schools in Africa and/or South America.

The students get a chance to go to Seattle on March 27, and take part in We Day Seattle. This event brings together 15,000 people and this year is the first time that the event has taken place in the U.S.

They are planning on attending the conference, which includes thousands of famous celebrities, diplomats, Nobel Prize winners, authors, etc. However, the only person the students can confirm will be in attendance is Mikhail Gorbachev.

It is a rare experience for these students to be able to take part in this event, and they have certainly earned it.
