The Human Element...

Anytime I watch a game I hope for nothing but the best from the athletes that are participating. I know a fair amount of other fans who expect nothing but the best from those same players. The one problem with this thought process is that humans are not machines that are programmed to work to perfection. And even machines have a tendency to break down.

But some people think that when you pay admission everyone should be at their best for the entire game. I’ve had that philosophy on many occasions. I guess it reverts back to some of those players I admired from afar when I was just a kid.
