AP announces 2B all-state football team

The Associated Press has announced the members for the 2012 2B all-state football team. The voting was organized by the Yakima-Herald Republic and done by sports writers from around the state.

For the Lind-Ritzville/Sprague Broncos, Dylan Hartz was named Player of the Year. For first team offense, quarterback Hartz, wide receiver Ryan Whitmore, offensive lineman Jarradd Morley and offensive lineman Jacob Anderson all received honors.

Broncos that earned first team defense recognition are defensive lineman Morley, linebacker Keanu Niezwaag and defensive back Hartz. First team special teams honors were given to the Broncos’ punter, Cort Ruzicka. Ruzicka also received second team special team honors as kicker. Connor O’Neill received second team offense as running back and second team defense honors for defensive back.
